Board-certified oral surgeons

In order to obtain this certification, oral and maxillofacial surgeons are required to undergo additional education and pass a rigorous, peer-reviewed exam. Moreover, the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) mandates that members keep their certification up-to-date by taking yearly exams to ensure their skills and knowledge are continuously improving.
